Shravan Month Vastu Checklist: Shiva Zones to Activate in Your Home

Shravan Month 2026 begins on July 22 - the most sacred month dedicated to Lord Shiva. During Shravan, the cosmic energy of transformation, regeneration, and divine grace is at its annual peak. In Vastu, this energy is most powerfully channelled through specific zones of your home.

Shiva and the North Zone in Vastu

Lord Shiva is associated with the North direction in Vastu - the direction of Kuber and divine abundance. The North zone governs new opportunities, financial flow, and the ability to manifest desires. Activating your North zone during Shravan month amplifies these blessings significantly.

The Shravan Month Vastu Checklist

Week 1 (Jul 22-28): Deep clean the North zone. Remove all heavy objects. Place a Shivlinga or Om symbol facing North. Place fresh water in a copper vessel in North. Week 2 (Jul 29 - Aug 4): Activate the NNE health zone. Place a tulsi plant in NNE. Ensure good ventilation in the North East corner. Week 3 (Aug 5-11): Focus on the centre of the home - the Brahmasthan. Keep it completely open and clean. Light a pure ghee diya in the centre every evening. Week 4 (Aug 12-18): Activate the East zone for social blessings. Open East windows in the morning. Place fresh flowers in the East direction.

Rudrabhishek and Vastu

If you perform Rudrabhishek at home during Shravan, the puja should be in the North East zone. The Shivlinga should face North or East. The person performing puja should sit facing East. This combination aligns the sacred ritual energy with the home's Vastu for maximum effect.

Remedies

Keep North zone light and open all Shravan month. Do not renovate or break walls during Shravan. Place a Shivlinga in the North East if possible. Light a ghee diya in Brahmasthan every evening. Remove grey or black items from the North zone.
